What is Psychological Testing?
Psychological Testing and Evaluation is used to identify and illuminate your or a loved one’s struggles with various symptoms including but not limited to anxiety, sadness, mood instability, attentional difficulties, and relationship problems. It can be utilized to diagnose a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, intellectual disability, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorder. If you are interested in learning more about challenges you have been facing, psychological testing can provide you with an accurate diagnosis, answers to questions about your functioning, and recommendations for ways to overcome your problems.
What to Expect
A psychological evaluation typically begins with a clinical interview and involves a series of tests utilized to identify emotional or behavioral problems. Psychological tests are administered via written, oral, and/or computer approaches. Psychological testing concludes with a feedback session, where you obtain a comprehensive report and feedback from a psychologist detailing the results of your evaluation.
