Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits of therapy and how does it work?

Therapy is an investment towards your quality of life. It involves learning skills to improve your understanding of your emotions and learning to be better at feeling uncomfortable emotions. When you commit to therapy, it can enhance your personal growth, improve your communication, increase your understanding of yourself and your needs, and bring you closer to the person you want to be.

After completing an initial intake, your first session will entail further discussing the challenges that brought you to therapy, identifying your goals for treatment, and getting better acquainted with your therapist. Future sessions will involve collaborating with your therapist to explore your problems and learn skills necessary to overcome them.
